Accommodation
As a general guide, fees for College owned accommodation for 2010/2011, excluding meals, are as shown below:
Single Room - £86 per week
Students also pay a refundable deposit of £150
Accommodation is available on campus in Sedgwick Hall and Sedgwick Mews. A total of 58 places are available and all rooms are furnished with most having their own en-suite facilities. Rent is payable termly. If you want to live off-campus, you should contact the Student Accommodation Manager who can help arrange alternative accommodation with carefully selected families or in privately rented accommodation close to the College.

Car Parking
Parking before 4.30pm is only available to students who are blue badge holders.
Childcare Centre & After-School Club
Stepping Stones Nursery is the partner nursery for Grantham College. The nursery is a short distance from the College grounds and provides full-time day care for children aged from birth to 11 years old. Stepping Stones aim is to provide a secure, caring and stimulating environment in small, homely, age-specific areas. Children are encouraged to progress at their own pace and to fulfil their potential in all areas of development.
In August 2010 the nursery was graded Outstanding by OFSTED.
Nursery opening times are 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. Nursery fees are charged at £3.85 per hour, although discounts are offered for Grantham College students.
The nursery has an open door policy therefore parents are welcome to view the nursery at their convenience, appointments are not necessary. For more information please contact the nursery on 01476 593643.
Conference & Exhibition Facilities
The College has a variety of facilities suitable for the meeting and conference needs of businesses large and small. Subject to availability these are available to hire in business hours (College opening hours are Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm) as well as during the evenings and College holidays.
The Conference Room is situated in the College’s Management suite, with fitted computer/projection equipment and OHP facilities available upon request. In the past the College has played host to a wide variety of different organisations.

e-Learning Centre
The e-Learning Centre has been designed to provide you with a state-of-the-art learning environment. The Centre has 29 open access PCs, all with Internet access, Microsoft Windows 7 and Office 2010, with some available to book in advance. Black and white and colour printing facilities are also available. The Centre also lends laptops for use both on and off campus. In addition, there are four separate e-Learning seminar rooms, or ‘pods’, equipped with 16-24 PCs and a data projector, the largest seminar room also has an Interactive Whiteboard. The Centre is open from 8.30am–5.00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am–4.30pm on Fridays.
Food and Drink
A wide choice of meals are available from the main refectory at very competitive prices. Snacks are available from vending machines throughout the College and from Nixx, our shop & cafeteria. Nixx has seating for 100 people and a wide choice of hot and cold snacks, including confectionery, paninis, bagels, salads and jacket potatoes, as well as stationery, cards and personal items. Hot meals are available from 4.30 pm Tuesday - Thursday. Students, staff and the general public can also dine in the College‘s Witham Room Restaurant which is run by the Hospitality & Catering Department.
Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy Salon
The Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy Salon is open to students and the general public. It offers a full range of very reasonably priced services as well as high quality hair and beauty products to suit everyone. For further details telephone 01476 400237.
Library
The College has a well stocked library. Learning resources available to you include 30,000 books, a wide range of periodicals, videotapes, daily newspapers and an Open Public Access Computer (OPAC) system for research use and book reservations. You can also access the internet, photocopying facilities and various on-line databases.
Sport
The College has an excellent range of sports facilities including a large indoor sports hall and a supervised fitness suite, containing cardiovascular machines and weight training equipment. You also have the opportunity to represent the College in a wide range of sports including basketball, football, hockey, netball, rugby and swimming.
Student Organisations
The StAR Forum is a democratic organisation which presents your views to the College management. The Students' Union represents the student population on College committees and organises your entertainment.
Travelling to College
Secure storage for bicycles is provided and shower facilities are also available.
Witham Room Restaurant
Savour the finest views in town as you enjoy the fine dining experience that is the Witham Room Restaurant.
Balancing the best of traditional and contemporary cuisine, the fully licensed restaurant is open at lunchtimes and evenings and welcomes, staff, students and the general public.
Themed Evenings take place throughout the year. A programme is published in September.
The restaurant can be booked for celebrations, parties, meetings and fund raising events.
Our “VIP” club qualifies members for loyalty discounts, priority booking and invitation only events.
