Funded Training Opportunities

Train to Gain is a government led initiative designed to support businesses improve their productivity and competitiveness by ensuring that staff have the right skills to do the best job. Government funding is available to support employees through level 2 and 3 qualifications, dependent on their prior education, skills and experience. We can access this funding to provide free training to all candidates wishing to undertake a full level 2 qualification. This support will be invaluable to those employers who are committing to the Skills Pledge.

ESF Funded Training

The European Social Fund makes funds available through the local Learning and Skills Councils to support employers in providing vocational training for their staff. This can be used to update or extend skills in a growing business. BDC will help employers to:

• Identify the skills your business needs
• Source the most appropriate training
• Agree a tailored funded / bespoke training package
• Find available funding
• Review progress and source additional training and funding when required.
