Support when you need it
The Advice and Guidance team will support you throughout your time at the College, from first enquiry to completion of a course. Services available include careers guidance, tutorial support and financial assistance with travel and study expenses. All students are allocated a Personal Tutor who is responsible for your welfare whilst at College. Personal Tutors monitor your progress and provide help when necessary, this includes supplying references for employment or higher education. In addition Personal Tutors provide advice on academic issues.
Careers & Higher Education Advice
Careers advice and guidance is available to current students and anyone considering coming to study at the College. The College has a Matrix Quality Award for its Information, Advice & Guidance services, and a Career Mark for its Careers Education. The College Careers Adviser works in partnership with advisers from Connexions - Lincolnshire and Rutland and is based at the Information, Advice, Guidance & Enrolment desk. The Careers Adviser will also assist you with UCAS applications and interview preparation if you want to go onto higher education.
Safeguarding Policy
Grantham College has a Safeguarding Policy to ensure that all young people and children attending activities in the College do so in a safe and secure environment. It sets out the steps we take to protect children and young people and the procedures we would use to deal with any issues. A copy of the Safeguarding Policy is available from Linda Wale, Director of Learner Support, on 01476 404376 who will provide any further information you may require.
Counselling, Mental Health & Wellbeing Service
The Counselling, Mental Health & Wellbeing Service is available for students and staff who may have personal problems, difficulties or concerns relating to College or home. You can access the confidential counselling service by email counselling@grantham.ac.uk or appointment can be made via Information, Advice and Guidance.

Health Drop In
The College Drop in centre provides a range of confidential information, support and access to free services to support your health and Wellbeing needs. The Drop in centre is located in the Nurse's room in Riverside house.

The StAR Forum is a democratic organisation which presents your views to the College management. The Students‘ Union represents the student population on College committees and organises your entertainment.
Support
Grantham College is committed to the principles of inclusive learning and the learning support service is designed to enable you to reach your full potential. The level of learning support provided depends on your individual needs and may include mobility assistance, extra support in English and maths, dyslexia assessment and support, large screen monitors and learning support assistance in class.
